What is permanent adhesive vinyl
Permanent adhesive vinyl is ideal for crafting durable designs on hard surfaces like glass, ceramic, plastic, and more. It’s easy to cut with your LOKLiK iCraft™, Crafter, Cricut or Silhouette cutting machine, or even by hand. With strong adhesive backing, it withstands outdoor conditions and washing, making it perfect for decals, signs, and personalised items. The clear PET backing ensures easy cutting, preventing tearing and bubbles.
We recommend using transfer tape to seamlessly transfer your cut-out design from its original backing to your project surface.
LOKLiK permanent adhesive vinyl is available in a variety of colours and lasts up to 5 years indoors and 3 years outdoors.
How to use permanent adhesive vinyl
Design & cut
Design your project, then place the material on the cutting mat with the coloured side facing up. If there’s a clear protective film, be sure to remove it first. Cut your design with your LOKLiK Crafter, Cricut or Silhouette cutting machine.
Weed
Weed away any excess vinyl, but leave the rest of your design on the PET backing.
Transfer
Cut a piece of transfer tape that will cover your design, apply it over your design and use the scraper to remove any bubbles. Peel off the PET backing, check if your design is fully transferred to the transfer tape.
Peel
Clean your surface and place your design on your project surface, go over it using a scraper and peel off the transfer tape. You can apply multiple colours using the same method.
Tip: Use the red lines on the transfer tape to align and level your projects easily
